Business people in Northamptonshire are in for some fantastic entertainment as the region’s newest leisure venue prepares to open its doors.
Aspers Northampton, a £10m casino and entertainment complex is opening in Commercial Street on June 26 and will feature bars, a restaurant and live entertainment, in addition to the traditional table games, slot machines and poker.
Entrepreneur Damian Aspinall, Chairman Aspers Group, the man behind the project, says it will be like no other venue in the region.
“We are setting the benchmark for how casinos should be – offering something for all adults, whether they want to gamble or not.
“We’ve invested heavily in the complex and I believe that we will replicate our success in Newcastle where our casino has broken records for being the city’s most popular venue, attracting up to 10,000 visitors a week.”
Of particular success is the company’s Aspire loyalty scheme which Damian believes will prove popular among Northamptonshire business people.
Anyone joining the Aspire loyalty scheme receives points worth £5 to spend on food, drink or gaming chips and the Aspire card can then be used on other visits to get further discounts and offers.
It’s so popular in Newcastle that one in every four adults in the city has become a member.
Marketing manager Maggie Ladbrook has already lined up some fantastic tribute acts for the opening weekend including an Elton John showcase on 26 June, a world-renowned Elvis impersonator the following night and a Robbie Williams tribute on June 28.
“I’ve been sourcing some of the best acts in the country to ensure our visitors have an all-round fun night out,” she said.
