As the endless summer holidays drag on and your children's constant demands for attention grow ever-louder, it may seem there is no escape from the little darlings, but one Newcastle leisure venue is making the most of its status as a kids-free zone with a series of special offers for long-suffering parents.
By law, nobody under 18 is permitted into Aspers at The Gate, which means it's one of the few places in the North East where you're guaranteed not to be asked for an ice cream and you'll never hear the eternal question: "Are we there yet?" To celebrate this enviable status, Aspers is offering special restaurant offers and stress busting beauty treatments to anyone who wants to escape for a few hours of TLC.
"We had the idea when a customer commented that Aspers was the only place he could get some peace and quiet," said Richard Smith, General Manager of Aspers at the Gate. "We put our heads together and came up with some special promotions that will allow parents to enjoy themselves, while still leaving enough cash for some family days out."
Couples can enjoy any two main meals and get the lowest priced dish for a penny I Freya's restaurant, with 25% off a bottle of house wine to accompany it. There's also a 15% discount off any treatments at the La Chaise beauty salon, or you can enjoy a special his'n'hers pampering session for just £25, including massages, facials and a spray tan for the ladies.

"Sometimes you just need a bit of time to yourself, which is why this is the perfect opportunity to have an evening out without breaking the bank," added Richard. "We'll be running the offers until September 15th so that parents can take some time to recover when the youngsters have gone back to school."
