THE TRANSFORMATION of Commercial Street into a stylish entertainment spot moved closer today with the grand opening of Aspers’ £10million casino and leisure venue in the city centre, their fourth casino in the Group.
The 40,000 square foot site on Commercial Street, was originally the site of The Albion Brewery, and more recently the home of Northampton Auction Galleries since 1982. Aspers has been designed to resemble the former brewery which was demolished to make way for the new building, with its design incorporating many key features of the old building.
Aspers Northampton opened to the public on 26th June and includes everything needed to give Aspers customers a fabulous time, several bars, a top-class restaurant, and live entertainment.
The casino, spread across two floors, offers £4,000 slot machines, electronic roulettes, a 60 seat capacity Poker Room and 16 gaming tables, including roulette, blackjack, three card poker and punto banco.
Damian Aspinall, CEO of Aspers Group, said: “Working closely with our construction partners, we’ve created a ‘world of entertainment’ that will offer something for everyone. A luxurious interior that you would expect from a world-class casino operator, Aspers has set the benchmark for casino design in the UK.”
The fit out was performed to a high standard of unique specification finishes. The design and layout leaves a lasting impression and creates a fresh and attractive environment for our customers to enjoy. The new complex also benefits from the latest technologies including hi-tech lighting and media, to help create the right ambience for the different areas and functions within the casino.
