Aspers soaring visitor numbers driving footfall to city centre
Aspers at The Gate

The venue, which is at the heart of the bustling entertainment complex The Gate in the centre of Newcastle, started recording its visitor numbers a year after its opening at the end of 2005.

Now having officially reached the 2.5 millionth recorded visitor at the end of August, although the venue anticipates that it has welcomed well in excess of 3 million people through its doors, and in turn to The Gate, since it opened.

Speaking of the visitor figures, Ally Myles General Manager at Aspers at The Gate said: "It is extremely encouraging to see that such a large amount of people have paid a visit to Aspers at The Gate.

"We pride ourselves on offering great food and two very attractive bar areas alongside our fantastic and varied gaming offering, so we really do offer something for everyone who is looking for a great night out in Newcastle city centre.

"The Gate is a great destination to be a part of, so it is very encouraging to have reached such a significant number of visitors as this high level of footfall will have undoubtedly had a knock on effect for others. In many cases people will have come to Aspers and visited some of our fellow residents at The Gate. This is a great thing for the local economy and for the reputation of Newcastle as a vibrant and fun city."
