Aspers Swansea Appoints New General Manager
Aspers at Salubrious Place

Paul Braithwaite has an impressive 21 years' experience in the leisure and gaming industry and joins Aspers at a time when its membership has risen to 62,000 in its first 20 months of operation, and is continuing to grow and develop its customer base across South Wales and parts of the UK.

Richard Noble, Chief Operating Officer of Aspers, said:

"We are delighted to welcome Paul to the team at Aspers, who will be a major boost to our already strong team here at Swansea. Paul is a well-known figure across Wales in the leisure and gaming industry, who is respected and well liked amongst his peers. I am looking forward to working alongside him at Aspers and I'm sure the team will benefit from the depth of his knowledge and business experience."

Paul Braithwaite has worked for one of the UK's largest bingo companies for the last 15 years. For twelve years he was the Senior General Manager where he grew profitability year-on-year to record levels. More recently Paul undertook a strategic role as Operations Executive. During this period he also gained his MBA at Cardiff University.

Paul Braithwaite said of his appointment: "I am looking forward to taking up this exciting new challenge with Aspers, which is fast establishing itself as one of the most forward-thinking and innovative leisure brands across the UK. Growing up in South Wales, I know how much of a major coup this new multi-million pound leisure development was for the city of Swansea when it opened and I hope I can play an important role in maintaining its already strong customer base; as well as developing ways of taking the venue to even greater heights. I want the people of Swansea to see Aspers as not just a casino but as a premier leisure venue, which offers a great night out - from fine dining through to live entertainment."

Aspers is a 45,000 ft leisure facility in the heart of Swansea, which includes bars, a restaurant, live entertainment and state-of-the-art gaming facilities. In April 2008, Aspers became the first British casino to go 'membership free' which has meant that virtually all visitors can freely walk through the reception area without completing membership forms. The venue is open to those aged 18 or over. However, Photo ID is required if you look under 21 and to join the Aspire Loyalty Club.
