Aspers Northampton

A Northampton company has made a donation of £7,000 to help victims of the recent massive earthquake in China.

The new entertainment venue Aspers Group has donated 100,000 renminbi to a fund organised by a municipal authority in China.

Our hearts really went out to the people of China affected by this devastating earthquake,” said General Manager, Mark Darnell, “The scenes of children and teachers lying under piles of rubble were particularly horrific, and we decided to do what we could as a company.”

More than 60,000 people have been killed and five million made homeless by the earthquake that struck south west China on 12 May.

The epicenter of the 7.9 magnitude quake was Wenchuan County in Sichuan Provence, but seven other provinces were also affected.
