Mencap in the North East is betting on a full house at Aspers at The Gate in Newcastle on Friday 11 May with an exclusive fashion show in aid of the charity.
Couture creations by Anh Mao - the creator of Miss England and Miss World 2007 gowns – will feature at the glitzy evening. Anh’s company, Mao Couture, is based in Kenton.
The show will also feature handbags by award-winning designer, Kate Walton, of Gosforth boutique HavetoLove – one of which will be auctioned off in aid of Mencap.
There will be an array of pampering treats on hand from Aspers’ beauty salon, La Chaise.
Alma Devine, Mencap in the North East’s area development manager said: “We are very excited about this exclusive “girls night out” – which is set to be the event of the season. A night of fashion and fun – it’ll be a VIP night with champagne and canapés on arrival and couture and accessories from top local designers. An occasion not to be missed!”
Paul Sculpher, Aspers general manager said: “We are delighted to be hosting this exciting event with Mencap in the North East – it’s sure to be a high point in the social calendar!
“Although a fun and glamorous night – the evening will raise funds for an important cause and one that Aspers is proud to support.”
Tickets cost £30, with all proceeds from the occasion going to Mencap in the North East. Drinks and food on the night are compliments of Aspers and professional models provided by Zeebra model management. Mao Couture and Kate Walton are also providing their services for free in aid of Mencap.
