The county’s newest leisure venue has now opened in Northampton, and is already proving to be a big hit.
Aspers Northampton, a £10m casino and entertainment complex in Commercial Street has a spectacular bar, fabulous restaurant and live entertainment, in addition to the traditional table games, slot machines and poker.
General Manager Mark Darnell said: “Everyone who visits Aspers is impressed by the amazing décor and facilities here. It’s already proving to be very popular with our new customers.”
The venue’s restaurant, Clary’s, is buzzing with advance bookings, and is open from 12 noon seven days a week. Lunchtime food is also served in the ground floor bar area.
Clary’s offers a range of modern and traditional British dishes, and with breakfasts and steaks being cooked through to 2.30am, it’s also likely to be popular with late night revelers.
Head chef is David Hallsworth, whose background includes working with Marco White in London. Most recently David was landlord of the Duke of Wellington at Stanwick, renowned for its good food.
“We’re going to be offering a great range of freshly cooked dishes,” said David, “The restaurant has a very modern feel and is a fabulous place to visit.”
Aspers will also offer free live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings from 10pm, with a range of different performers.
Highlights include Sharon-Marie with her soul jazz diva show on July 12, Lisa Jay known from ITVs WAGS Boutique on July 25, and the Carnaby Girls performing 60s and 70s soul and Motown favourites on July 26.
